1. Discovery

This stage is all about you. We start the whole project at the kick-off meeting where we listen, whilst you talk about your goals and ambitions for your website and those of your company. If it is necessary, we may even run a few exercises to help us collectively better understand your aims, clarify your unique selling points, identify your key audiences or even work out what it is you need to say.

2. Definition

Once we have absorbed as much as we can, it’s time to start defining the website using established UX (User Experience) techniques. Between us we will explore everything from your users needs (creation of personas) to the structure of the page (wireframes). It may involve stakeholder interviews or conducting a survey with your target audience. The goal, at this stage, is to create a blueprint upon which the website will be developed.

3. Design

Underpinned by all the hard work tackled in the previous stages, it’s time for the fun bit. Through various iterations, Thoughtful will develop the look-and-feel for your new website and present you with highly-polished visuals that will eventually become your website.

4. Development

Now it is time to take the designs and transform them into a fully-functional website.

Developing to the latest web standards and using technologies such as HTML5 and CCS3, you can be confident your website will work on as many platforms as possible.

5. Deployment

After the website is loaded with all its content and the testing has been completed, it’s time to share our creation with the rest of the world.

6. Support

Okay, I’ll admit it. I couldn’t think of another word beginning with D, however, this stage is too important to leave out. Once your website is up-and-running it is important for you to know that I’m still around to help.
